James qualified as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser in 2005 and was inspired to take up accountancy as a career by his grandad, who was a self-employed accountant.

James is predominantly based out of the Lincoln and Sleaford offices where he and his teams pride themselves on offering a high quality, pro-active service, to a wide range of clients in a variety of industry sectors. James supports his clients through the various different stages of the lifetime of a company, from the tax planning involved with growing a successful business, to succession, sales, mergers and acquisitions. James has also overseen a number of acquisitions and mergers into Wright Vigar.
In 2021, James completed his masters studies into Leadership with the University of Lincoln and became a member of the Chartered Management Institute.

As joint Managing Director of the firm, James is likes that Wright Vigar is an independently owned, people orientated business, with good values, an approach that continues to serve all our clients and stakeholders well.
