Wright Vigar Teams Conquer the Equinox24 Challenge!

This past weekend, two teams from Wright Vigar took part int Equinox24– a 24-hour relay race held in Leicestershire, in aid of St Barnabas Hospice. Split into two teams of five, our teams battled every weather condition imaginable, from torrential rain to blazing sunshine – but no challenge was too great for them.

Together, the two teams completed an impressive 36 laps, with one of our teams placing in the top 20 of the small team category, having completed 21 laps, while the second team secured a respectable top 50 finish, with 15 laps under their belts. A great effort from both teams, all contributing to the amazing 79,340km that was covered by all participants over the course of the weekend. 

Equinox24 is no ordinary race. Teams relay around a 10k course, up and down the hills of Belvoir Castles grounds, running through the night and navigating whatever conditions come their way – which for our teams, meant enduring everything but snow. Despite the physical and mental demands, our team members remained resilient, supporting one another through every lap. 

Team spirit was high throughout the event, with both teams encouraging each other to push through the tiredness and ever-changing weather.  Our teams not only demonstrated great physical endurance but also showcased the strength of Wright Vigar’s commitment. A massive congratulations to all involved for their dedication and hard work – we are incredibly proud of their achievement raising over £1,500 for their charity of the year.
